Argument Against Phones In Schools.

In class for our chapter chat task we had to write a argument. It had to be should phones be banned in school. Mary and I wrote this argument on why phones should not be allowed in schools.

Against phones:

Introduction:  Phones, they’re ridiculous things.   Not only adults, but kids are also so addicted to phones.  I think that it’s completely unnecessary to have a cell phone because all people do all day is go on their phones. Here are 3 reasons as to why I think schools should most definitely ban phones.

Micro 1: Cheating: The 1st reason as to why I think schools should ban phones is that a lot of kids cheat on their tests when they have a phone.  If a test or question is to hard for them they’ll search it up online and write it down, thinking the teacher would think that they solved the question all by themselves.  Instead they cheated! If they get the answers “ right” then they’ll be put up a group or level, then when something’s too difficult for them then they’ll keep on cheating.  They’ll end up not learning anything, not storing anything in their brain so that they can use it in the future. This comes into our second reason.

Micro 2: Don’t learn anything: Secondly when kids have their phones in class they get distracted way too easy and will not learn anything. Kids today need all the education they can get to help their future. Phones are the reason kids these days just sit in class and completely ignore the actual learning part of class and what is even worse is that kids only go home to go on their phones. Phones are just bad for kid’s minds too, they can damage kids eyes. This leads us into the third and final reason.

Micro 3:  Distracted on social media Moving on to the third and final reason, scrolling on social media. In class when kids get bored all they will do is either play games or scroll on social media.  Phones are the reason that kids are addicted to social media and devices. Social media like facebook, twitter, instagram and snapchat is not only bad for kids it is inappropriate and making kids future go out of the window.

Conclusion:  So that is our 3 reasons as to why schools should ban phones,  phones distract kids, kids don’t learn anything and kids are tempted to search for answers online.  If you don’t want your child’s future to be trash then let schools ban phones!
